I have been a photographer since 1968 when I got paid the handsome sum of $3 for a spot news photo in our small town's weekly paper. Photography helped pay for school and has been responsible for most of the fun I've had since then. I've worked as a park ranger, a documentary photographer, a media producer, a photo services manager, a director of communications for a non-profit, a director of publications for a major university, a web development manager for the local phone company and currently a medical & research photographer at a large hospital. Yeah, a bit of a gypsy.

Besides lightning and weather related subjects, I also like landscape, panoramic and travel photography.
